davegdmn
Running Retro 6.5 Professional, which (I understand) does not support concurrent execution of jobs. A little testing seems to show that scheduled jobs which come due before the previous job is complete are queued for execution, in the order in which they are scheduled. My question is: Can this behavior be relied upon? Specifically, could I schedule three jobs, each expected to run for about an HOUR, as follows: Job 1 6:00 PM Job 2 6:01 PM Job 3 6:02 PM And rely on all being executed, and in the proper sequence? Thanks for any enlightenment...
awnews
Yes, I do exactly that all the time. The jobs will all get executed and in the expected sequence. Obviously the actual start time of each job will vary with how long the previous jobs take to execute.
