Gerk
Hi everyone having strange problems after my mac crashes. I've done most of the troubleshooting and the mac doesn't crash very often, but when it does I am forced to recatalog (expected behaviour). The problem is that I have, several times now, run recatalog and it seems to run forever ... right now It's been running for 28 hours on a single 110G SDLT tape, it hasn't asked to change tapes, etc ... and it's showing 621G of data so far in the catalog process .. the strange part is that there is not that much data in the entire set, let alone that tape. it seems to be cataloging the same files over and over again.... I've search the forums here and didn't find much in the way of reference to this so not sure if it's a known issue or if it's something particular to my setup. This has happened quite a few times over the last few months and it's getting quite frustrating to lose my datasets like this (5+ TB of data lost so far in last few months to retrospect). Any advice is appreciated.
