When doing an immediate backup it asks you to 'source the volume for back up'. Here it randomly creates a new desktop icon. It then asks for a 'server login' for any icon that existed previously. This then forces you to use the new icon already created. Now the entire folder has to be backed up as opposed to only updated/new files.
