badmoona Posted November 23, 2003 Report Share Posted November 23, 2003 So I recently purchased retrospect server and client and a brand new firewire hard drive to back up on to. everything executes ok but it stops after it copies 2gb. i receive an error message iinforming me tha the limit is 2gb. Is this a common problem? is there a fix or a pach for this? I am running osx server and panther on my client machine. unfortunately, I dont relly want to set up multiple backup sets, is there any suggestions out there for me? Is this a common problem? HFS has a file limit of 2 GB. Try reformatting your new drive as HFS+. Rerospect 5 is limited to 1 Terrabyte.
