mboatner Posted April 9, 2002 Report Share Posted April 9, 2002 I've recently purchased a Sony AIT-3 tape drive to use with Retrospect 4.3 on a G4 Mac. Advanced Driver Kit is 2.0.104 and Retrospect Driver Update is 2.5.101. The drive is chained together with an AIT-1 and AIT-2 drive on an Adaptec 2940UW SCSI card. I have an Adaptec 29160N card on order to use with the AIT-3 drive (I was told it was faster). In the "Configure" tab under "Devices", the AIT-3 dive has a "??(format)" when I mount a tape, and under "Configure" and "Backup Sets", it says remaining space is "91.5GB, assuming capacity of 97.0GB", which is the capacity of the AIT-2 drive.
