glaviolette
When I try to add a Samba share (that I was able to add in Retrospect v6.0.206) to the Volumes Database I get the message "Error getting volume information, cannot add this volume to the database". Any ideas?
jfairfield
I have Retrospect 6.5, had similar problem upgraded to Retrospect 6.5.339. I still have problem. I am on a windows 2003 server. I am trying to connect to a Snap server using Windows domain security. On the 2003 server windows explorer I can see and touch the Snap server without a problem. In Retrospect I can get a connection in 1 out of 4 attempts. Then the connection will fail after working for a day or two. Then I will have to try to reconect again. I am unable to connect at all now inside Retrospect, but can copy from the 2003 server to the Snap server using explorer without a problem. HELP!!! glaviolette
I believe we have it working now... We had to upgrade the version of Samba from 2.2.3 to the latest version of 3.0. That seems to have fixed that problem, but we now have another issue but appears unrealted to Retrospect... You might look at an update to the SnapOS as my unix admin tells me It's basically Samba on FreeBSD. Good luck, -g
