Bad backup set header found on Verify

Recommended Posts

Mac OS 10.2.6 PowerMac G4

While I found a few references to this problem by searching this forum's posts, I saw no resolution.

After erasing an external FireWire drive, I backed up an internal hard drive to a File backup set on the external FireWire drive okay (see log below). Then executed a Verify and got some errors (see log below). What's going on? Is there some limit or know problem with Retrospect for large File catalogs?

When I got this error, it was due to the fact that the I needed the latest SCSI driver for the card installed on the Mac. Using MacOS 10.x requires you to go and get the update manually. You can get it from VersionTracker.com or from your manufacturers site.
