mcswgn Posted September 16, 2003 Report Share Posted September 16, 2003 A newer Retrospect application is supposed to work with previous versions of the client (with one exception mentioned below), but it is recommended that the clients be upgraded. You should definitely upgrade the application first and then you can work on the clients "at your leisure". Be aware, however, that 5.0 won't use appletalk for backing up mac clients. If you currently have any clients that are using appletalk, you should look into whether they are capable of running the newer clients that work over IP.
