We're using version 4.3 on MacOS 9.2 on two separate servers/locations, and I would like to know if we can restore files, using the server on location A, from a tape that was created on location B. mcswgn Posted September 5, 2003 Report Share Posted September 5, 2003 Yes, since you are going to the same OS (Mac to windows won't work), but you won't have the catalog. You will need to copy that over to the Retrospect folder on the other server. I don't know what happens if you are using a backup set of the same name already on the other computer, though. If that happens to be the case, you might want to use some caution because I don't know exactly how Retrospect keeps track of which tapes belong to which catalog (besides the name).
