jsteele
I am attempting to re-install the Retrospect for Windows client software on my Dell laptop. This machine is running Windows 2000 Pro and Retrospect Client v5.15. The Macintosh Retrospect server is v4.3 on MacOS 9.2. I have everything installed, but am stuck when I try to log onto the Windows machine from the Mac server, as I don't know what the Security Code should be. Is this something that I need to set on the Windows machine? I have tried entering the License Code, but that doesn't seem to be it. (I do see the Windows client in the server window.) I can't enter a null code as the OK button is disabled until something is entered. I can't find very much in the manual about Security Ccdes, so any help the fine people on this forum can provide would be most welcome. Thanks! AmyJ
Uninstall the client software, reboot and then re-install the client. You will be propmted to create a password on installation. You will not see this unless you reboot before the re-installation.
