lotons
I keep on getting MapError: unknown Windows error 2,273 TSessInfoMessageBufferSend: UNetMessageBufferSend failed, winerr 2273, error -1001 everytime I do backups when I don't normally get the error. After a bit of research, I found out it's retrospect trying to send messages to the itself and another networked computer trying to message them about backing up SYSVOL etc. etc. I did disable the messenger service on both machines so this error comes up. is there any way to tell retrospect not to send these messages? Thanks in advance.
AmyJ
Map errors are debug logging that was intended to be suppressed in the Operations Log and nothing to worry about. Retrospect does not attempt to use Windows Messenger in any way to send messages to itself or any other computer.
