freetimes
OK, these pictures are pretty fun. I just upgraded to Retrospect Workgroup 5.0 on OS X and have all the other clients - running Mac OS 9, X and Win 98 - working. The Client installer just quits on a PM 7600. I have an old client on this particular Mac - 3, I think, but the Workgroup app won't see it. The Client upgrader won't work either. I had this problem on a different PowerMac which stopped after I upgraded to OS 9. I don't have a copy of 9 for this machine though, and Apple isn't selling it anymore. The Retrospect box says it supports OS 7.6 and up. Help! Amy
AmyJ
There are no functional changes between the 4.3 client and the 5.0 client for OS 9 and earlier other then in the installer engine itself. Download and install the 4.3 client for the older machines: http://www.dantz.com/en/support/updates.dtml
freetimes
I installed 4.3. But I'm still getting a 541 error, client not installed. The 4.3 control panel says Ready. I can see the computer via Appletalk. Other ideas? Thank you. Amy
AmyJ
Retrospect 5.0 does not support AppleTalk. You'll need to throw away the client control panel, reboot, and reinstall the client as a TCP/IP client. You'll see the option during installation.
