stevekl
I'm having a problem creating a catalog from existing tapes. I had a hard drive crash and was dumb enough not to back up the catalogs! Once I start the recatalog process, Retrospect just hangs there, it appears to go through a portion of the tape, then just stops reading it. Even though the little tape spool icon continues to turn, no progress is made. I've tried this on multiple tapes, same result. I'm running Retrospect 5.0.238 and Jaguar 10.2.x. Anyone had a similar problem? Any help?
AmyJ
What is the make/model of your SCSI card? What is the make/model of your device? While in Retrospect, go to Configure > Devices > Device Status and list Vendor, Product and Version for your drive. The following link outlines SCSI troubleshooting in OS X: http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27289
stevekl
I have an Adaptec 2906 in a G4 tower, and a Sony SDT-S9000 Dat tape drive (DDS4). I have had problems with it not recognizing the drive from time to time. Any additional help would be appreciated.
stevekl
Sorry, I didn't check via Retrospect for the drive info, it follows: Product: Python 00367-XXX Version: 5.23 Driver: Archive Python DDS-DC (5.02) I think this is what you needed. Thanks again.
