puggman Posted April 3, 2002 Report Share Posted April 3, 2002 Ok, so I ordered and downloaded 5 Server and installed it on my OS9.x machine. Now I'm trying to update my OSX clients. So, I do an Update All for my OSX clients - and it asks me for the Client Software to update from. Well, the only file in the Client Updaters directory is a file called "Mac_Client_Update_5_0.rcu" which, when selected, tells me that it's not a valid update file. Please don't tell me that after dropping $$$ for the Server update that I'm going to have to shell out more $$ for the clients update file..... pkscout Posted April 3, 2002 Report Share Posted April 3, 2002 AFAIK you can't update the 4.3 beta client or the 5.0 preview client to the shipping 5.0 client. You need to follow the instructions for removing the beta OSX client, or use (download?) the preview uninstaller (I think it's mentioned in the readme file).
