Retrospect 6.5 and OS X

I just installed 6.5 single server on a workstation running windows 2000. As a result I can no longer see the workstation network ID from machines running MAC OS X. I can't no longer connect if I type in the IP address either. Does any one why this could be?

What error messages are you seeing when you try to access by IP address? Before attempting to connect to the client via IP address, make sure you "forget" it from the client database.

 

What version of the client software? Were you able to connect before the upgrade? Is the client OS X or OS X Server?

 

Can you ping the OS X machine from the Windows 2000 machine?

 

Have you check the firewall under Sys Prefs > Sharing > Firewall? Make sure it is off or has Retrospect on the list of allowed ports.
