crepeau
Hi ! I upgraded from Retrospect express 4.3 under OS 9 to Retrospect express 5.0 last Friday. I'm running the new version on a Powerbook (Dec 2001) with Matshita CW-8121 CRW/DVD drive. I had no problem upgrading an old backup set with the next software under OS X, but the program stopped when trying to compare backup to original files: "error 100 (device rejected command)" I can't verify the disks created, I can't restore files, I get the same error message whenever Retrospect 5.0 tries to read from the drive. Anyone with a solution or similar problem ???? Thanks Claude
ChuckS
What build of Retrospect Express are you using? Is it 5.0.201, or a previous build? An earlier build (167) was released to Symantec for distribution with the new SystemWorks for OS X. If you are running 5.0.167, I'd recommend upgrading as soon as it's possible (the patch is not available at the time I write this), and see if the problem persists. imsmgs0
I have the same setup using 5.0.201 with the same problem. Also very slow which seems to be a standard retrospect driver that will not be updated for a specific drive.
crepeau
I am using version 5.0.201 freshly downloaded from Dantz's web site. Claude
