CharlieRieger
Hello, I'm looking for guidance in setting up an offsite FTP backup. My retrospect server is behind a Winnt Proxyserver, which is configured to allow FTP access to proxy clients. IE on the Retrospect server will connect to the backup FTP server with UserID:Password@ in the URL. Retrospect does not connect. The internet FTP site is OSX 10.26 with FTP sharing enabled, and Brickhouse configuring the firewall to allow FTP. Since IE connects OK, I suspect a proxy configuration. Also, I am unable to connect via Terminal... My question is, does retrospect see the proxy settings in the network prefs? Thanks for any guidence, Charlie
AmyJ
Go to System Preferences > Sharing. On the Services tab, is FTP Access "On"? How about on the Firewall tab?

AmyJ
How does your FTP server transmit data? Retrospect will only write to an FTP site in Active mode - we can't transmit in Passive mode.
