holdtran
Hello there! When a script in Retro Desktop for Mac does not find a Mac OS X.2.6 volume (already configured), it mounts it and my script runs ok. The problem comes when Desktop runs a script that has a Win XP Professional volume not mounted at that moment (it works when is mounted manually first at the Finder). When the volume is configured, the server and user titles shows garbage, and by typing the correct password does not solve it. Is there is any other workaround? Should I run a Windows Client on the Windows XP machine? Thank you, Edgar.

Configuring volumes for mounting by Retrospect only works for AFP (Apple File Protocol) volumes. If you want to backup data on a machine not running that protocol you should indeed use the appropriate Retrospect Client. It works better, too.
