gwfulton
I am having problems restoring backup sets on CDs that I created in Retrospect 4.1. I am now working in OSX with a G4 computer. I insert the CD and the program loads the set. However when it begins the repair process nothing is catalogued. I know that the CD's do have data on them I just cannot seem to be able to retrieve or even repair the set. Here is the process that I am following: 1. In the directory I click tools, repair. 2. It indicates that a known set already exists for the name on the CD. 3. I click OK to replace and it requests a place to save the set on the HD. 4. I click OK and it again alerts that that name is already being used. I click OK once more to replace. 5. it seems to begin the process of repairing the set but within a couple of seconds the process is done and it requests the next CD. I thought maybe the media might be damaged, but each CD has the same results. Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated since there is some valuable data on these CDs.
