temp999 Posted May 8, 2003 Report Share Posted May 8, 2003 Retrospect keeps telling my DLT tapes are 'write protected'. They aren't. I can't run a backup; I can't erase the tapes. Kit: xServe running OS X Server 10.2.5 Overland Express DLT LoaderXpress (Model LXL1B10) I am using several different kinds of tape; they I've tested different tapes with the record tabs in both positions. The tapes aren't 'write protected' when using our other server, Retrospect, and single DLT deck. I can't find any documentation relating to this from either Dantz or Overland. I've also updated the Dantz driver to the latest version. (I really wish I'd bought a couple Firewire drives. Anyone want to buy an autoloader - 4 hours of use - very cheap!)
