felix2
I've been using Retrospec that came with my Seagate Tapestor for some time. There is one thing that I've never understood. After retrospec does it's intial scan for a full recycle backup it shows that I have 4,993 folders and 415,212 files. However when it starts it's backup it shows that is is backing up only 48,215 files and to the right is 4.2 gig. . The 4.2 gig is correct since that is the amount of my entire drive less the internet temp files, however when you lessout the internet temp files I still have "much" more than 48,215 files, more like close to 400,000 files and 4000 folders. Why does retrospect show this strange file value ?
AmyJ
The following KB article may be helpful: http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27657 Also, if you have many identical files on your system, each unique copy will only be backed up one time.
