gibson
I'm looking for advice on backing up across a WAN, and more specifically, backing up one client to another client at a remote office. To avoid the cost of maintaining an FTP backup service for off-site storage, I'd like to try sending our remote backups to a FireWire drive connected to a client computer connected by T1 across a 190 mile-long WAN. Will Retrospect allow me to create a storage set on a client computer? Or do I need to connect to the client using file sharing and then create the storage set on the shared disk? On another subject, can Retrospect wake a sleeping computer for backup? How do I set that up? You might notice by the nature of my questions that I'm a non-technical guy. It's ok to make fun of me.
