Paul_Oakenfold
Hey Guys. I am Running Retrospect 5.0 on OS 9.2 G4/500 Dedicated to backing up the network. It is connected to a DLT 220 Via SCSI Wide, and Gigabit Ethernet. Typically I get a transfer rate from any of the Client Macs of about 250 MByte Per Minute. Which is what I would expect to get. But, When it gets to our Mac Server, (Dual 1.4 G4 with 2.0 TB Raid running OS X Server 10.2 w/ Retrospect Client installed ) it only transfers from the Server at a Whopping 15 MByte per Minute. Just to Reiterate, the Backup of the Server is NOT being done on that Local server, but on a dedicated G4/500 back-up Machine, over Gigabit Ethernet. Why the dramatic speed decrease on the OS 10.2 Server ?

In what other ways is this Macintosh different then the other machines you're backing up? Network topology, network hardware, etc. Dave
