David_Jerram
Hi, I am using Retrospect Workgroup Backup for Mac OSX Server, and am experiencing regular errors in my backup log. Are these errors because Retrospect is trying to back up a system that is actively running, and are they anything to be concerned about? Will these errors prevent a full and proper restoration in the event of a total loss of the server hard-drive? The following extract might be useful to you to see what I am getting: - 4/23/2003 10:15:17 PM: Copying System… 4/23/2003 10:28:25 PM: Comparing System… File “Organizer Database”: different modification date/time (set: 4/23/2003 6:55:03 PM, vol: 4/File “Operations Log”: different data size (set: 504,131, vol: 504,390), path: “System/Library/Preferences/File “system.log”: different modification date/time (set: 4/23/2003 11:24:42 AM, vol: 4/23/2003 File “messages.tdb”: different modification date/time (set: 4/3/2003 4:19:07 PM, vol: 4/23/2003 File “nmbd.pid”: different modification date/time (set: 4/3/2003 4:19:11 PM, vol: 4/23/2003 10:File “smbd.pid”: different modification date/time (set: 4/3/2003 4:19:09 PM, vol: 4/23/2003 10:4/23/2003 10:40:16 PM: 6 execution errors.
