brettp
I have DAT tapes that have been around for more than 5 years. Some are in very unreliable condition and I just want to offload the tapes (what I can) onto an internal hard drive and use a different media (DVD). Since this is a smaller media, I can not just do a transfer from one tape to another. Here's my pickle-I want to do an entire restore of the tape at one shot onto an internal hard drive without having to go and restore each session. I've tried the restore each session option and it is very time consuming. I'm trying to make it a little easier workflow. Can I do something like this? AmyJ
To restore all contents of a backup set, go to Immediate > Restore > Search for files and folders Choose your backup set(s) and your destination. In the Searching & Retrieval:Searching window, leave the search criteria blank (empty) in order to find all files in the set. You can also do a backup set transfer to another media type with Retrospect. Although DVD is smaller, Retrospect can span the contents of one tape across many DVD's. Make sure you use a supported DVD device: www.dantz.com/hardware
