docfxit Posted April 16, 2003 Report Share Posted April 16, 2003 Hi, I have a PC running XP Pro sp1 Retrospect 6.0.206. It's been running fine for a long time without any changes. It is now giving me an error saying No backup devices found. I have turned off the PC and the external USB hard drive. In Configure -> Devices -> Environment it shows ID 0:0 Maxtor 6 L02001 A93 I can see the drive from other programs. In Retrospect Volumes -> Browse I can see the drive. In Device Manager I see : Disk Drives Maxtor 4 G120J6 USB Device Universal Serial Bus controllers USB Mass Storage Device The Maxtor drive is model USB2120NEP001 G60DKLTE 120GB Even though it has been running fine I tried updating Retrospect with rud37.exe. It didn't fix it. I don't have any CDR software on the PC. I have turned off ZoneAlarm even though it was configured for TCP & UDP port 497 in and out and running before. This window is reserved for media devices, such as CD burners and tape drives.
