lynrob
I just got Retrospect Version 5.6.132 with a Seagate TRAVAN tape drive from Compaq. I am running Win XP PRO. Everything seems to work well, except for the shutdown option upon completion of the backup. Rather than shutting down completely, Retrospect just shuts it down to the point where I get a "It is now safe to shut down Windows" screen. Since I am running the backup unattended, this really isn't much help. I would really like it to shutdonw all the way to power off. Any ideas? Thanks, Lyn R. AmyJ
Regarding the server machine, check your Windows shut down options to ensure Fast Shutdown is enabled. Retrospect sends a standard Windows shutdown command. However, other processes may be running that prevent a complete shutdown on the machine when the command is sent.
