dmataras
The scheduler kicked off a Recycle Backup of a hard drive to a file backup set. Retrospect 6.0 is running on a Windows 98 machine. The hard drive being backed up is the "C" drive of a *client* machine in a peer-to-peer network. This client is also running Windows 98. The sequence is: Recycle backup using xxx ( a client ) at 3/24/2003 9:15 PM To Backup Set yyy ( an existing, working-just-fine file backup set ) 3/24/2003 9:16:17 PM: Connected to xxx 3/24/2003 9:15:57 PM: Recycle backup: The Backup Set was reset. 3/24/2003 9:15:57 PM: Copying Drive C (C:) on xxx soccRecv: recv failed, error 10014 and then Retrospect just hangs, does nothing else. ( We had to reboot the machine. ) When I restarted Retrospect after rebooting the machine, that is when I was able to see the above sequence in the Operations Log. WHAT CAUSES THIS ERROR? ( soccRecv: recv failed, error 10014 ) Thanks.
