kthan
I have some questions about network backup. I got two computers (one laptop and one desktop) and I am using DR pro 6.0 for backup the hard drive. 1. 1st desktop hard drive backup --> 2nd desktop hard drive 2. laptop hard drive backup --> 2nd desktop hard drive 3. laptop hard drive backup --> 1st desktop hard drive. There is no issue in #1. How about #2 and #3? Which option would be better? Any pros and cons of each option? Do I have to it with "file" backup or "drive" backup? In case of #1 and2, there are two backup sets in 2nd desktop hard drive. Would it be okay to backup and restore? In case of #1 and 3, because 1st desktop drive had a backup set of laptop drive, 2nd desktop hard drive has a backup set of 1st desktop hard drive which includes a backup set of notebook hard drive. Isn't there any expected problem in case of restore the data either for laptop drive or for 1st desktop drive? Also, I heard that disaster recovery disk is not useful for client PC (network) backup, correct? And, I don't think I can use dvd writer in my desktop to backup the files of my laptop through network, right?
