? finder crashes ? related to retrospect duplicate backups

(sorry for the duplicate: i posted this first by mistake to the os9 area)

 

i installed retrospect desktop 5.0.238 three days ago on a g4, 1.25x2, 1.5G with a IBM-120G ide startup volume, 2xIBM-120G ide in a mirrored raid per disk utility, and an external lacie 200G FW drive.

 

retrospect is configured to run a duplicate backup from the startup to a folder on the external drive, a file storage set backup from the startup to the mirror and a duplicate backup from the mirror to another folder on the external drive.

 

since that time the finder has crashed once a day. each time either during or immediately after a duplicate backup. in my recollection the crash was provoked by opening or closing a disclosure triange in a folder window which existed before the backup. has anyone else observed this? logs enclosed below.
