Retropunk Posted March 15, 2003 Report Share Posted March 15, 2003 I need to backup an entire drive to a brand new firewire external drive. I try running the duplicate function and I get the following error on hundreds files then the function stops telling me the duplicate failed: Trouble writing files, error -1101 (file/directory not found) Also, my Firewire drive gets removed when the error happens. I have to unplug the firewire cable and plug it back in for it to be recognized again. Any ideas? I'm on W2K Pro - Retrospect 6.0 Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AmyJ Posted March 18, 2003 Report Share Posted March 18, 2003 How is the Firewire drive formatted? Have you checked it with a disk utility?
