I cannot figure out how to do this. It only seems to make backups of the files that are new or changed. AmyJ Posted March 6, 2003 Report Share Posted March 6, 2003 Matching is the scheme for comparing file attributes to determine whether files are identical, which then allows intelligent copying to avoid redundancy. The version included with the Maxtor drive, Retrospect Express, does not have the option to turn off Matching. You can set up a backup script that writes to different backup sets on specified days or you can set up duplicate scripts that duplicate to different folders (subvolumes).
