lchop
I am wondering if I can do a full restore from a retrospect "duplicate" of my hard drive after a reformat. Assuming my hard drive is blank from a reformat and I reinstall Windows XP and then retrospect express, would it work if I restore from the duplicate on top of the running Windows? I'm curious because the duplicate operation runs quicker then does a normal backup. I have retrospect express version 5.6 and Windows XP home edition. Thanks. AmyJ
Retrospect Express does not have the ability to copy the Registry in a "Duplicate" operation. Without the registry, the system may not be bootable and applications may not run. An upgrade to 6.0 would allow you to set the option to duplicate the Registry.
