mkran Posted February 26, 2003 Report Share Posted February 26, 2003 Hi all, I did a full backup of 10.2.4 and restored to a clean disk. The dock went back to how it comes on a fresh install: icons, sizes, position, everything. Not a showstopper, but certainly annoying. Any know what's up? It also restored a non-working keychain, but that's covered in another thread started by someone else. Was it a Live Restore (booted into the volume selected as the Destination for the Restore Entire Disk operation) or was it non-live, where you're booted into one volume and Restore Entire Disk to another? Before I did the restore, I neglected to turn off "Ignore ownership (privileges) of this volume" as specified in the User's Guide. Doing so restores a dock as expected.
