melzer
I have created several Subvolumes and backed these up (individually) to CD/RW media using Immediate Backup. Verify is on and after all were done and compared the log indicated "completed successfully." My question is this, why can't any files be viewed on the CD media after a successfull backup? Is the data REALLY backed up to the CD? Puzzeled Mel
AmyJ
Backup discs created by Retrospect are accessible only by Retrospect; they will not be visible in Windows Explorer or other software. NOTE: You cannot use CD-ROM drives to restore from CD-R backup sets. To view the contents of your backup set, you can go to Configure > Backup Sets > Properties to see the files backed up in a given session. To verify the contents of the backup set is readable and restorable, use Tools > Verify.
melzer
Amy, I thought that was the case.......just wanted to make sure that I could actually select files from the CD at a later time if necessary. Thanks again.......Mel
