douglasrlee
Why does Retrospect display an incorrect disk space amount needed: 667.8GB!!! The source drive is only 4GB! and the back-up device is an external 20GB! The server is a PowerbookG4 550mhz, just upgraded to OSX10.2.4, running updated Retrospect 5.0.238 with Driver Update 3.4.103. The client is a Windows PC running upgraded Retrospect Client 6.0. I've run Norton Disk Doctor on the PC and it found no problems. The 667.8GB needed appears in the error log after running an autoscript, and also appears in the preview list when running a manual back-up. (I wish I had a drive that held 667GB!) Thanks. Maser
check to see if you have any hidden "finder.dat" files on the drive. If so, that's your problem. You can probably safely delete them. It's a "known issue" many of us hope will be addressed in the next bug-fix release.
