egarneau
I have this error with Mac OS X 10.2 clients and Retrospect 5.0.240 clients. I have the latest versions of client and server applications, and the latest Driver Update. The whole error is : Can't read file "retropds.22", error -40 (file positioning error), path: "Macintosh HD/Applications/Retrospect Client/Retrospect Client.app/Contents/Resources/retropds.22" What could be the cause of this error? Bad privileges? The -40 error is not documented in the manual. Thanks.

Bad privileges? This is a known issue that has been discussed here on the Forum before. If you need to use your Backup Set to completely restore a drive you'll want to re-install your Retrospect client software when you're done.
