GagMan
Have a G4 server with Mac OS X (10.2.3 Jaguar) on it. We bought a OnStream Echo Fw-30 backup system, it's the FireWire one. Was working great on the old AppleShare IP server. My question now: Would it run on this server...and what version of Retrospect do I need, the one that came with Echo Fw-30 was Desktop version 4.2 OEM, do I have to upgrade or not? I understand that I will need to upgrade to version 5 for better compatibility but is it necessary. Has someone been using this kind of equipement? Is so, what are your configurations? Any tips? Thanks for any advices. Gabriel guenetg@csvdc.qc.ca
AmyJ
Yes, you'll need to upgrade to 5.0 in order to run Retrospect on OS X. A server OS will require Workgroup or Server edition.
