Guest
Howdy, I'm a newbie to Retrospect. When I backup, it will often times freeze when creating a snapshot. I'll have to do a hard reboot. I'm backing up to CD, and doing the job manually, not scheduled. I've done the ASPI check. My CDRW is identified. The strange thing, is that it doesn't do this all the time- does it about 3/4 of the time. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Reading some other posts I see that disabiling some of the apps in the tray might help. I'll give that a try in the future. Thanks for any tips, Larry
AmyJ
While in Retrospect, go to Configure > Devices > Environment and list Vendor, Product and Version for your drive.
Guest
AmyC, Thanks for the reply. Very Strange. When I first got Retrospect Pro, my Yamaha 2200E showed up without any problems. Now it's not there. I went through and stopped any apps that I could find that might be occupying the writer. Still no luck. Will continue to investigate. FWIW, I reinstalled the writer and software...shows in the Device Manager as 'working properly'. Other software (Nero), can access the drive. Any other tips? Thanks Kindly, Larry
