StardogChampion
Greetings... I'm trying to write a backup job to a tape silo in Mac OS (Jaguar). I set it to "Run Unattended" but for some reason Retrospect doesn't want to believe that it's the sole device that has access to the tape silo and after it fills a tape waits for human intervention to pick the next one, even though all of the tapes in the silo are recognized as being erased. Is there a way to name the tapes before the operation so that Retrospect will believe that they, indeed, do have the right to use them for its purposes? Is there a setting that will tell it to fill every tape of the tape silo? Thanks...
StardogChampion
Am I to believe by this silence that I'm the only one having problems writing a backup over multiple tapes without having to babysit Retrospect? If so....can someone at least please tell me how they have things set up for success? I need to write 160 gigs of data to a tape silo and would rather not have to schedule several days of my life to sit around and tell Retrospect that it's allowed to use the next blank tape?
