drandall
I recently upgraded my computer to an Intel D845PEBT2 mobo with the new Pentium IV 3.06Ghz cpu. When I turn hyperthreading on, my Retrospect backups seems to freeze somewhere in the middle, between the write and the verification phase (can't remember exactly, but the progress bar stopped in the middle during the backup). I think this is during the snapshot phase. I have since turned hyperthreading off, and the backups are fine. Is this a known problem? I'm using Retrospect Professional ver. 6.0.206, btw. AmyJ
What OS are you running? To date, we have not done any testing with the Intel Hyper-Threading technology.
mannheim
As another data point from another user: I am using a machine with a Pentium 4 with hyperthreading (Dell Dimension 8250, running Windows XP Pro, Retrospect 6). I don't have the problem described. Everything runs ok doing file backups to an external hard drive.
