Scripting Duplicates

Trying to define and script "Duplicate" with specific file and folder selections and network destination using Express 5.6 supplied with Maxtor 5000XT. "Source Voume Selection" in "Duplicate" and in "Automate/Scripts" doesn't allow selection of multiple volumes. File "Selecting" options within the "Duplicate" function only allows customization with "Files Chosen" option, but these settings can't be saved with a script. Creating a script doesn't offer the "Files Chosen" option at all. How can you define, save, and automate duplication operations with specific file/folder selections?

That's correct - a duplicate is a one-to-one operation. One source to one destination. In order to 'duplicate' multiple sources, you'll need to set up a script for each source and have it duplicate to a unique destination.

When using the Immediate Duplicate > Files Chosen window, Retrospect will always generate a new live picture of the source. For this reason, file selection criteria is not retained. Fully customizable selectors (which allows saving file selections, among other things) are only a feature of the full versions of Retrospect (Professional and higher).
