RockyM
Hi - If I'm backing up my entire C: drive to an external USB 2.0 Hard Drive, is it better to use the "Backup" option or the "Duplicate" option? I'm not sure what the difference is, other than I need to use Retrospect to restore the files used in Backup. Quaestion two - let's say I reinstall Win Xp on my C: drive - what is the bast option to restore my files exactly as they were? I mean, will Backup or Duplicate put all the programs back in the "Start - Programs" section? Thanks for the help.
AmyJ
Your best option is the Backup option. Retrospect Express does not copy the Registry in a duplicate operation. Without the Registry your system may not be bootable and your programs will not run.
