ALBERGOJ
Got a Combo-drive upgrade for powerbook and just tried Retrospect V5 on OS 9.2.2. Getting some "100" errors - disk command failed. Not sure if this is related to the "speed" of the media? Dug up the specs on Apple's site and they say the drive writes at 8X ("Matshita" i.e. Panasonic cw-1821). But, since Retrospect is writing so slowly I'm not sure if I need "fast" media or not? I've been burning to these (4X) discs just fine with disc-burner and iTunes. Is Retrospect more demanding even though it's only writing at less than 20MB/minute? Interested in anyone's experiences; I'd rather not have to experiment with too many different brands if it's not going to help. What seems to work best for you all? Can I expect these errors to go away with better media?
