lincd
The Retrospect application does not launch automatically for scheduled backups. A couple of months ago, a procedure was posted here for correcting the problem: In reply to: In a previous thread, a user who was having a problem solved it by deleting the Retrospect application bundle and /Library/StartupItems/RETRORUN/, killing the RETRORUN process, emptying the trash, then running the 5.0.536 installer fresh. Make sure that "Show Crash Log" preference is set in the Console application. Launch Retrospect and confirm that the RETRORUN process is running (use the Process Viewer application or the terminal's "top" command). I followed this procedure. It had no effect. AmyJ
Try a clean installation of Retrospect - uninstall / reinstall - while logged in as a new / different user. After uninstalling, make sure there are no folders called RetroRun in the Library/startupitems folder. If there are, throw them away before reinstalling the program.
