scarletfire Posted January 2, 2003 Report Share Posted January 2, 2003 I have a G4-400 running 10.2 with Classic on a different hard drive. I back up to an Onstream ADR echo 30 Firewire. Retrospect 5 backs up the "classic" volume running under classic without difficulty. When I try to back up the OSX volume (about 20 gig), running under OSX, it takes about 3 days! Johnson Posted January 2, 2003 Report Share Posted January 2, 2003 This is odd, but I found that if I placed my FW-30 flat instead of on the stand, it was much faster.
