davidss
This is the second time I have noticed a "Bad backup set header found" message. This is a 15 CD-RW set made on a Sony Spressa CRX1600L, Driver Sony CD-RW 5.01. ASP says Unit Software Version is 10483, Product ID is CD-RW CRX160E, Product Revision Level is 1.0e. Drive is on its own firewire port on a G4/400 with R. 5.0238, Driver update 3.1.105 I have been using this drive for over a year with only a couple of discs having obvious problems, where R. returned Device exception reports. I recently upgraded to 10.2.3. If this is a bad disc, how do I find out which one it is? I was able to do an incremental backup to this set without error. + Executing Verify at 2002-12-31 5:09 PM To backup set mast… Bad backup set header found (0x1be70aba at 7,911,131). 2002-12-31 11:12:53 PM: 1 execution errors. Johnson
I had the same problem in 10.2.3 with my OnStream FW-30 (bad header problem) but my internal CD back-ups in 10.2.3 still work okay in 10.2.3. I tried the same back-up with a 10.1.5 disk and it worked without a problem.
