Cannot Access Catalogue

Hello,

 

 

 

 

 

I'm attempting to verify my weekend back up script and I get the error as follows (best as I can remember):

 

General error, cannot access catalogue.

 

Retrospect is having trouble accessing my catologue for my weekend back up set. The catalogue file exists within the Retrospect folder. Mon-Thu catalogue is fine, verifies ok. The only way I see possible to correct this issue would be to rebuild from the tape. I tried to choose the catalogue file to rebuild and that did not work. Can anyone offer any advice on this?

While in Retrospect, go to File > Open and open the catalog file. Retrospect will then remember the existing location of the file.

 

 

 

If the catalog file is actually corrupted, you can rebuild from tape, or you can restore an older copy - should you have a copy of the catalog backed up in a another (different) backup set from which you can restore.
