cfisher Posted December 30, 2002 Report Share Posted December 30, 2002 I'm trying to get an HP DVD 200i to work with an immediate backup. I have just updated the firmware on the drive to 1.36 from 1.06 although the problem existed before the update also. Using Retrospect Server version 5.6.127 and 3.1.103 of the RDU on XP Pro SP0. I can go to the Configuration>Devices>Status and the screen shows the drive and (erased) for the empty disc. Configuration>Devices>Environment shows the following; 0:1 Product: HP DVD Writer 200j Version: 1.36 Driver: HP DVD+RW (1.53) When I proceed to the Immediate backup and ask it to begin the backup process, the software scans the bus and puts up a dialog box that states No Removable Discs Found etc. I have to stop the backup at that point.
