mmanya Posted December 25, 2002 Report Share Posted December 25, 2002 Hello - Can I do a back of my C drive to my Buslink external HD and just not back-up certain things? Would it then still be a complete backup ( including registry ) ? I tried and was told not enough disk space - I am running WinMe ( fat 32 ). However, I have 14G in MP3's - could I back them up separately ??? If I did not include them in the complete backup, I believe I would have enough space... AmyJ Posted December 26, 2002 Report Share Posted December 26, 2002 The only way, with Express, to exclude files is to unmark them in the Preview window while setting up an Immediate Backup. Set Source (c:) and Destination, then use the Preview button to uncheck the files/folders you don't wish to backup. Keep in mind that the Preview window will always generate a new live picture of the source. You'd need to manually exclude this directory each time you do a backup - it will not work for automated backups. Saving manual file selections in this manner is a feature of the Professional and higher versions. Providing the MP3's are in the same directory (s) you can make a subvolume of the music directory and do a Duplicate to a new folder on your destination drive.
